Chapter 3518
The old lady remained unfazed by the complaint. “These days, transportation is easy. You can fly to another country in the morning and arrive by noon. Distance isn’t a concern. What truly matters is that the person is good and suitable,” she remarked.
“You may laugh silently, yet still have the audacity to complain about the distance and fret over their marriage. You can worry until your hair turns gray, but you’ll remain as carefree as you are now,” she continued.
She gently touched her gray hair. “I worry about the stubborn ones, and that’s why my hair has turned gray.”
Tania glanced at her mother-in-law’s gray hair and teased, “Mom, you could dye your hair black. You take care of yourself and look like you’re in your early sixties. If you dyed it, you’d look even younger. But maybe you shouldn’t. Embrace reality with courage and accept that you’re aging.”
At that moment, Camryn walked in, having overheard Tania and Grandma May’s conversation.
“Grandma, Aunt,” Camryn greeted warmly.
Grandma May and Tania turned to her, visibly relaxing and exchanging knowing glances.
“Camryn, come sit next to Grandma,” the old lady said with a smile.
Tania wisely moved aside to make room for Camryn.
Camryn took a seat.
“Why are you alone? Where’s Callum?” the old lady inquired.
“Callum went to work. I’m staying home to keep you company, Grandma,” Camryn replied with a smile.
The old lady appreciated Camryn’s calm demeanor.
“Yes, you should rest when necessary. You can’t earn enough money if you overwork yourself. Our family isn’t in need. As long as your company runs well, pays wages, and doesn’t lay off workers, that’s all that matters,” the old lady said, holding Camryn’s hand affectionately.

affectionately.
Although she never had a daughter or granddaughter, she would eventually have nine granddaughters-in-law whom she could treat as her own granddaughters.
Perhaps one of the nine would bless her with a great-granddaughter, allowing her to rest in peace.
“Aunt, has Serenity left?” Camryn inquired.
“Serenity took Sonny and left on a private plane with several seniors. They are heading to FC Manor,” Tania replied. “Do you need her? You can call her.”
Camryn responded, “No, I thought she was leaving in a couple of days.”
“She went to FC Manor earlier than expected. She’ll likely return around the New Year. The Johnson family is quite lively,” Tania said.
With several children around, FC Manor was more vibrant than the York family’s Wildridge Manor.
“I want to go too. I miss Avah. She’s so adorable now,” the old lady said, her eyes brightening.
She envied the elderly Mrs. Johnson for having such a beautiful and charming great-granddaughter. Avah was also easy to care for. Despite having raised more than a dozen children herself, the old lady had never encountered a child as easygoing as Avah.
While Avah didn’t laugh much, her fair, delicate skin and large, round eyes could melt hearts with just one smile.
“Grandma, don’t go out. Callum and the others said they will take good care of you and not let you wander around,” Camryn advised.
The old lady was momentarily at a loss for words.
The younger generations had begun to take control of her life.
