Chapter 3539
Serenity smiled and said, “Children are like this. The happiest and most carefree time in a person’s life is during childhood. Once you grow up and start school, you’ll face the pressures of studying, and you won’t be as carefree as you are now.”
Jane nodded in agreement.
“That’s true. I wish I could be young again. I was happiest when I was a little kid.”
As a child, she was the cherished one in her family. Everyone adored her, making her feel happier than many adopted children. Meanwhile, Titus had to focus on learning medicine and martial arts.
Before starting elementary school, Jane spent her days playing freely. Serenity advised her, “Speak softly so Ben doesn’t hear you. Otherwise, he might think you’re unhappy and regret marrying him, and he’ll go to great lengths to make you happy.”
Jane instinctively turned to glance at Ben.
Ben looked up at her, as if they shared a telepathic connection.
When their eyes met, Ben smiled at her.
Jane smiled back.
Turning her head, she affectionately took Serenity’s arm.
“I have always been happy. People say I’m God’s daughter, blessed with all good things.”
Although she was not the biological daughter of the Murphy family, she grew up healthy and joyful there, unlike the real Jane.
The Murphy family treated her exceptionally well. If the Lafayette family hadn’t come along later, the Murphys might never have revealed her true background.
She remained unaware that she was not their biological daughter.
Even now, the Murphy family continues to treat her as their own. While she recognizes her biological parents, she lives in the city with her adoptive parents. She has two fathers and two mothers who love her dearly.
Her biological brother and adoptive brother both…

She is greatly adored, as are her two sisters-in-law.
After marrying into the Johnson family, she was cherished by both her in-laws and her husband. She became pregnant and gave birth to a baby, welcoming both a son and a daughter.
The daughter was particularly favored. Jane truly seemed to be someone blessed by nature. Serenity was fortunate as well, but compared to Jane, she had endured hardships. Her parents passed away when she was just ten, and she relied on Liberty for support.
Serenity’s happiness began when she married into the York family.
Initially, she felt pressured regarding pregnancy and childbirth, struggling to conceive for a long time. Now that she was pregnant, she hoped for a daughter, which added to her stress.
Additionally, Jane’s family background was significantly better than Serenity’s.
People can be so frustrating when they compare themselves to others. It’s best not to engage in comparisons; as long as you feel okay and happy, that’s what matters.
“We all desire happiness.”
Serenity smiled, “Yes, we all want to be happy, and we genuinely are.”
Jane glanced at her belly and asked, “Are you feeling any fetal movements?”
Serenity replied, “Yes.”
Jane inquired, “What is your due date?”
Serenity answered, “May.”
Jane smiled and said, “That’s very soon! It’ll be over in the blink of an eye; it’s already January.”
The two of them entered the house, chatting and laughing.
Once inside, Serenity greeted everyone.
Alannah looked at her as if she were her own daughter. Even while holding her grandson, she reached out to pull Serenity down to sit.
“You haven’t visited us in so long; you’re so heartless,” Alannah playfully complained to Serenity.
There has been a lack of visits from the beginning.
“We miss you so much.”
Sonny, who had greeted the elders first, overheard Alannah and asked her with wide eyes, “Grandma, don’t you miss me? You only miss my aunt.”
“Yes, I miss Sonny the most,” Alannah laughed, which made the boy feel jealous.
Sonny said with a touch of narcissism, “I am so cute; I know everyone will miss me.”
“Sonny is becoming increasingly shameless,” Serenity remarked about her nephew’s thick skin.
