Chapter 3541
Lilian was “taught” by her master. She promised him that she would never bite Fabian again, and the matter was finally settled.
When Fabian returned to Lilian’s embrace, he was still grinning at her, which made her heart melt.
No wonder her master’s affection for her had transferred to Fabian.
He was undeniably adorable.
The Johnson family had prepared a lavish lunch. After everyone had settled for a while, they proceeded to the dining room to eat together.
After the meal, Jane and Lilian took Serenity for a walk in the yard to help with digestion.
Although Serenity could eat well, she felt nauseous afterward and needed to move around.
Once she digested her food, she was ready to eat again.
Jane smiled and said, “This month marks a period of rapid development for the baby. It requires a lot of nutrients, so you’ll find yourself getting hungry more often. Pregnant women experience this; they tend to eat less but more frequently. I could eat better than you during my pregnancy. It returned to normal after I gave birth.”
Jane had once been pregnant with twins, which meant the two children needed more nutrition.
She felt as though she had been constantly eating, like a rabbit, with her mouth never stopping.
Lilian replied, “I don’t feel much. Maybe I’m just too busy.”
She was also treating patients while pregnant.
Jane looked at her and chuckled softly.
Lilian reminisced about some moments from her pregnancy, smiled playfully, and lightly patted Jane for laughing at her.
“Didn’t Zachary say he would send you here?” Jane asked, shifting the conversation away from children.
“He was on a temporary business trip and couldn’t make it. I—”
“She came here with a few seniors and felt no concerns whatsoever.”
On the contrary, she was quite relieved.
Serenity appeared somewhat downcast as she spoke these words.
Without waiting for her friends to respond, she continued, “Actually, I know he lied to me. They all lied and kept things from me. Do they think I’m unaware? After being married for so long, I understand him.”
Serenity placed her hand on her belly. “They saw that I was pregnant, so they decided to keep it a secret. They didn’t want me to worry and were even more afraid I might rush over in desperation. Am I really that impulsive? If I went there, I might help my sister, but I would definitely be a burden. She’s concerned that both I and the baby could be harmed, which would only add to her troubles.”
Serenity was fully aware of everything.
While everyone was keeping secrets from her, she pretended not to know anything.
Sticking to her original plan, she took Sonny to FC Manor.
“I also believe nothing will happen to my sister. I’ve always told her that Sonny and I are here waiting for her to return home.”
“My eldest cousin and Zachary are already there. Zachary is expected to arrive here in two days. My aunt and Grandpa Zhong will also join them. It’s time to show our support. There are so many people there; I’m confident my sister will be fine.”
Serenity gazed into the distance and added, “Brother Duncan is just as worried as I am. He also stayed in Wiltspoon instead of going over. Like me, he fears that his presence might impact my sister negatively and make her vulnerable.”
“The people my sister cares about the most are Sonny, Brother Duncan, and me. As long as the three of us remain safe and out of harm’s way, and as long as her weaknesses aren’t exploited, she will be okay.”
She also trusted that Zachary and Audrey would ensure her sister’s safety.
What happens to Liberty? After two years of growth, Liberty has become even more remarkable than before, just like Audrey. Jane struggled to answer the question for a moment.
