Married At First Sight Chapter 3996
Chapter 3996

Clarissa had always been pragmatic, and despite her flaws, she genuinely cared about preserving the Farrell family’s legacy in Jensburg’s elite circles. However, her sons proved to be even less capable than Shiloh, leaving her with no choice. Despite Shiloh’s lack of leadership skills, Clarissa dedicated herself to her development. It was only when the truth about Shiloh’s identity was revealed—when the two daughters were returned to their rightful places—that Clarissa began to see Kathryn’s potential. For the first time, she understood the reasons behind the family’s strict inheritance rules. Kathryn surpassed Shiloh in every aspect.

Clarissa’s only regret was that Kathryn had not grown up alongside her. Their different upbringings had shaped their values and perspectives, creating a divide between them. Before Clarissa passed away, she realized that her biological daughter had no interest in inheriting the Farrell family empire. Kathryn accepted the responsibility solely because she was Clarissa’s child. When the truth about the inheritance came to light, Kathryn felt the greatest relief. She no longer had to carry the burden of the family’s legacy and could restore everything to the rightful descendants of the previous family head.

“You’re heartless, disloyal, and unfilial, Kathryn!” Sage slammed his hand on the table, his face contorted with anger. “You’ll get what’s coming to you. Mom would have been furious if she knew you were doing this!”

Kathryn remained calm, her voice steady yet firm. “Mom wouldn’t have been angry. If anything, she’d thank me for helping atone for her sins. What she took was never hers to begin with. My aunt and younger aunt both lost their lives because of Mom’s schemes. Deep

“I believe Mom spent her final years consumed by guilt.” Clarissa had longed to pass everything on to Kathryn, but Kathryn didn’t want it. She didn’t need it. Kathryn had faced challenges far beyond what the Farrell family’s legacy could provide. She had endured her past hardships and emerged stronger. Now, no one had the power to control her or diminish her worth.

With Pedro by her side, Kathryn was resolute in building her own empire—a kingdom that would belong solely to her, untainted by the shadows of the Farrell family’s history. She aimed to leave behind a legacy that was fair, just, and free from the stains of the past.

“A gentleman values wealth but earns it honorably,” she declared, her words slicing through the tension like a knife. This was Kathryn’s guiding principle.

“You—!” Sage stammered, his face flushed with frustration. To Marco and his brothers, the family’s dirty secrets were an open book in Jensburg; the entire city was aware of them. However, for the brothers, those stories could be whispered by others, but not spoken aloud by one of their own. Kathryn’s blunt acknowledgment of their mother’s sins in front of so many was, to them, the ultimate betrayal.

Kathryn, however, was finished with the argument. She turned to her secretary and issued a firm command. “Call security and have the three Vice Presidents Jimenez escorted out. Gentlemen, if you know what’s best for you, resign now. Don’t wait for me to fire you.”

Marco’s expression darkened. He jumped to his feet, pushing his chair back with a screech. “No need to call security—we’ll leave on our own. But if you want us gone, you owe us severance.”

Kathryn’s lips curled into a cold smile. “Resign voluntarily, and there’s no severance. That’s company policy.” Her gaze locked on

Marco remained steadfast and resolute. She hoped he could understand the deeper significance of her actions. If they decided to resign now, they could depart with their dignity preserved, without losing everything they had built. However, once Kathryn and Liberty completed the leadership transition and Kathryn departed from Farrell Group and Jensburg for good, Liberty would not hesitate to abandon them.

Sage’s anger surged; his fists clenched, and he appeared ready to retaliate. Yet, before he could act, Pedro stepped forward, his imposing figure acting as a shield for Kathryn. Pedro’s sharp, steely gaze locked onto Sage, delivering a silent warning. His expression was cold and menacing—like a lightning bolt poised to strike. If Sage dared to make a move, Pedro would not hesitate to take him down.

“Sage, let it go,” Marco urged quickly, gripping his brother’s arm. The bitterness in his voice was evident, but even Marco recognized that provoking Pedro was unwise.

Reluctantly, Sage allowed Marco to pull him away, but his furious glare remained fixed on Kathryn and Pedro as they exited the room.
