“I’m easygoing,” Charlie replied with a smile. “As the guest, I’ll leave it up to you, Miss Manqiong. Just arrange whatever you think is best.”

Liu Manqiong nodded and glanced at him. “By the way, Mr. Ye, I’ve wanted to ask you something. Is it convenient?”

Charlie smiled and said, “Are you wondering if I’m single?”

“No,” Liu Manqiong replied, slightly frowning. “I just want to know if you understand the meaning…”

Charlie Wade noticed that Liu Manqiong seemed to know more about the repeated mention of roast goose at the dinner table. He shook his head and said, “I just mentioned it casually. I don’t know what it really means. Can you explain it, Miss Manqiong?”

Charlie Wade sensed that Liu Manqiong was not an ordinary woman, so he remained curious about her story.
