“Absolutely! Of course, I want to!” Jacob exclaimed, “I’ve had some realizations lately. Honestly, I’ve already lost face for quite some time, so I might as well give it a shot. If I can go back to the Calligraphy and Painting Association, that would be fantastic, because as the saying goes, you rise again where you stumbled.”
Charlie Wade nodded in agreement, saying, “Let me look into this for you.”
Jacob rushed to add, “A good son-in-law should act swiftly, but don’t wait for him to get promoted…”
“Promotion?” Charlie Wade chuckled, “That’s unlikely. Given his personality, I don’t see him advancing. He’ll probably just remain at the Calligraphy and Painting Association in the future.”

After a long, restless period in his office, he decided to reach out to a key contact. Once the call connected, he greeted enthusiastically, “Chairman, I apologize for the interruption. I’d like to inquire about the timing for the interview process regarding the previous job vacancy.”
The other party responded with an apologetic tone, “Old Pei, I’m truly sorry. Things have been shifting over the past few days, so I was unable to provide you with a clear answer. We just had an internal meeting and came to a definite conclusion.”
